Lerager: We're ready for FCM
F.C. Copenhagen's Lukas Lerager insists the club are ready to take on 3F Superliga leaders FC Midtjylland on Wednesday and are not being affected by the build-up to the match.
FCK can still catch FCM with two games to go but need to win on Wednesday night and hope other results go their way between now and Monday's final round of games.
A win for Midtjylland here and they could be crowned champions if second-placed Brøndby don't beat AGF on Thursday.
"You could say that it is an all-important match that we have to win," Lerager said. "We have to do that with all matches when you play for FCK but there is probably no doubt that three points will keep us going until the last match on Monday.
"I don't really think the game will be affected by it, because we have our tactics and ways of doing things. We will follow them, but it is clear that we must chase three points."
Should he start in Parken on Wednesday it will be a 16th appearance for Lerager since he joined the club from Genoa last year.
"I think we have produced a couple of good performances with some good patterns and good organisation in the team," he said. "It has affected both the attack and defence.
"The relationships are getting better and better, the structure of the team is going in the right direction. We have to play more football and take more initiative in the matches. We have to be a team that plays and takes the initiative into matches."
