New head coach Ariel Jacobs’ unbeaten record for FC Copenhagen continued last weekend, with a 1-1 draw against SønderjyskE in the second round of the new Superliga season. Watch highlights via FCKTV here…

It was a tough match in Haderslev for Copenhagen, who have a busy schedule ahead of them. Their task was made all the harder when Eyjólfur Hédinsson found space to bury a fierce effort from distance after 25 minutes.

SøE’s lead lasted just six minutes however, as Copenhagen broke back with a wonderful team goal. Bryan Oviedo – instrumental for FCK all game – cut inside on the left wing before exchanging a one-two with César Santin that broke the Costa Rican through SønderjyskE’s backline. Oviedo squared to Mos Abdellaoue to avoid the keeper, Mos tapping into an empty net.

The 1-1 scoreline never really threatened to change during a tame second half. SønderjyskE defended deep and let Copenhagen pass along their midfield, but penetrating the home goal was too strong a task for Jacobs’ men, who headed back to the capital on Sunday evening content with a point.
