Mikkel Kaufmann sold to Union Berlin
F.C. Copenhagen have agreed with Bundesliga club Union Berlin on a transfer that will send Mikkel Kaufmann to the German capital.
Kaufmann joined FCK from AaB in 2020 and has since been loaned out twice, most recently to 2. Bundesliga club Karlsruher SC.
"Kaufmann has done well in Germany and fits in really well with German football with his way of playing football," says FCK sporting director Peter Christiansen.
"It has sparked interest among a number of clubs down there and now we have agreed with Union Berlin on a transfer that also makes sense for us financially. We wish Mikkel all the best in the future."
Kaufmann himself is looking forward to a move to the top German league and a club that enjoyed great success last season.
"It's a big change for me, and I'm happy that FCK have been ready to make an agreement and let me develop well in Germany. I am looking forward to coming to Berlin and continuing to work there," says Kaufmann.
Everyone at FCK wishes Mikkel Kaufmann good luck in the future and thanks him for his efforts for the club.
