Reaction as FCK beat AGF 4-0 at home

F.C. Copenhagen returned to winning ways with a 4-0 victory over AGF in Telia Parken on Sunday.

Two goals from Benjamin Verbic plus Uros Matic and Pieros Sotiriou strikes earned the Lions three points.

And FCK manager Ståle Solbakken was as delighted with the performance as he was the result.

"It was a great match from our side,” Ståle said.

“We have been good at home and today's game showed that we had everything in place because our problem has been playing straight after European games.

"We had plenty of good individual performances today and we created many chances. We also worked well in the midfield - both with William Kvist and Jan Gregus - and with William and Matic after Gregus' injury.

“Defensively we can do a little better because even though we kept a clean sheet we can improve.”

FCK.dk also caught up with some of the players to get their reaction to the win, which lifts the Lions up to fifth in the Alka Superliga.

"The first half was good and we didn’t allow AGF to come up with a lot of chances. We played the ball well and didn’t give up.

“For me, it doesn’t matter if I score myself - just that the team wins. And thanks again to our fans for the support they gave us throughout the match.”

Robin Olsen
"It was nice to keep a clean sheet because it’s been a while since that happened. But great also with a victory and the three points in a match where we scored plenty and where AGF didn’t really get to chance.”

Uros Matic
"It was a good game, the boys put in a lot of effort to get the win. Now it's a matter of keeping at this level in our upcoming matches. And I'm happy with my own goal and it just proves that you have to be ready when you get the opportunity.”

Benjamin Verbic
"It was a tough fight to start with, they were tough in the tackles and we had to fight for it. Unfortunately, Gregus got injured, but Matic came in and scored the opener to help turn the match to our advantage.

“We played well, were in control of the match and kept a clean sheet. Maybe I could have scored three goals today, but I scored a couple and thanks to Matic and the others for the assists. I even scored with my head - which doesn’t happen so often, so that's something I like!”
