Uros Matic loaned to Austria Wien

F.C. Copenhagen have agreed to loan out Uros Matic to Austria Wien for the coming season. The deal includes an option to buy for the Austrian club.

"In many ways Uros is a very good player, and he had a good start with us. Recently he has not been able to maintain a place around the starting XI, so it's best for both of parties that he gets the opportunity at a new club. During his stay, Uros has always been a true professional, and he has never found excuses or weakened his efforts at training. We wish him all the best in Vienna, and then we'll see what the future brings," says manager Ståle Solbakken.
 
Uros Matic, meanwhile, is looking forward to getting his career going again.
 
"I've had a really good time at FCK and in Copenhagen, but first of all, I'm a professionel footballer, and I need to play more games at this stage in my career, where I also have ambitions about the Serbian national team," Matic said.

"I've always tried to give my best for the team, when I played, and I've always felt respected at the club and amongst the fans. FCK is a great club, and I'm proud that I've been here, but I also look forward to playing more at Austria Wien. From my time in Austria, I know they are a strong team."
