Bendtner: Disappointing to lose
F.C. Copenhagen striker Nicklas Bendtner earned his debut off the bench in Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Hobro.
And the forward discussed the team performance as well as his own 15 minutes at the end.
"I hadn't really set any expectations about playing time in advance, because it was all about getting the three points," Bendtner said.
"Therefore, of course, it is disappointing to stand here afterwards without any points whatsoever. That said, I am personally happy and proud to have been selected to fight for FCK, and it went well, too. I had a couple of opportunities and with some luck could have scored as well. But we just missed that added extra in the match.
"Now it's time to head home and work on the training ground. I'm looking forward to becoming an even bigger part of the team, and then it's just about playing some football and getting to know the teammates better on the field, so we improve our interaction.
"But I am ready again when Ståle needs me, and in the long run, of course, I'll fight so I'm not just there to come on at the end of games."
