Diks: It's nice to be back
Kevin Diks says he hopes to be back playing competitive football before too long as he continues his recovery from an injury that kept him out of Sunday's Superliga return agains OB.
Diks scored seven goals and provided seven assists in the first half of the season but hasn't featured since the 0-0 draw with Silkeborg in early November.
And after a winter recovering from injury, the full-back says he is eagerly anticipating his return to first-team action.
"It feels good! Yesterday was my first full training session with the rest of the team since the training camp in Portugal, and it went as it should," says Diks.
"I actually got a minor injury in Portugal during the match against Zenit, but I knew it was not a big problem, just a little bump in the road."
Discussing his injury before the winter break, Diks says: "It was my knee that was tricky before Christmas and it took a little longer than I hoped, but my plan all the time was to be 100% ready for the restart of the season.
"Hopefully this little extra injury break was the last setback - and now it's about finding the form, the momentum and those small percentages again. It's nice to be back."
