Kamil Grabara named 2022 best goalkeeper
F.C. Copenhagen's Kamil Grabara has been named Danish club football's Best Goalkeeper for 2022, winning the coveted "Det Gyldne Bur" award that TIPSBLADET has presented annually since 1984.
This is the first time in his career that the 23-year-old Poland international has won such an award.
The honour is decided on a points-based system. Grabara earned 37 points in total, while Mads Hermansen from Brøndby got 32 points and Randers' Patrik Carlgren picked up 30 points.
Last year, AaB's Jacob Rinne won the vote, where the goalkeepers in the Superliga and First Division cast their votes individually.
Grabara himself awarded three points to Carlgren, two to Hermansen and one to Viborg's Lucas Lund.
In the spring, Grabara set a new clean sheet record in the Superliga when going 763 minutes without conceding a goal, and he played every game on FCK's journey to the title. Grabara was forced to remain on the sidelines for more than two months this autumn with a head injury, but made a comeback in October and, together with his teammates, has not lost a Superliga game since.
Fifth FCK goalkeeper to earn honour
Former FCK goalkeepers who have also won the Golden Glove are:
- Jesper Christiansen – 2005, 2006 and 2007
- Johan Wiland – 2010 and 2011
- Robin Olsen – 2016
- Kalle Johnsson – 2020
