Kusk smashes home extra-time Cup win
Kasper Kusk’s extra-time volley saw FC Copenhagen safely through to the quarter-finals of the DBU Cup.
Kusk controlled and shot from inside the area to finally break Fredericia hearts after a valiant display from the Jutland side.
Copenhagen took the lead through Danny Amankwaa’s 28th-minute turn and shot that took a deflection on the way through to goal.
Nikolaj Hagelskjær equalised with a neat finish from the edge of the FCK box after direct build-up play by the home side.
And 99 seconds into extra time Kusk took a tough from Nicolai Jørgensen’s drag bag before lashing home the winner.
Copenhagen will now play fellow Alka Superliga side Randers in the DBU Cup quarters.
The clash in Telia Parken will take place between Tuesday 1 and Thursday 3 March 2016.
