Neestrup: We're steadily becoming difficult to beat
F.C. Copenhagen head coach Jacob Neestrup says his players are “developing well” after the 3-0 win over Lyngby on Sunday lifted the Lions to third in the Danish Superliga.
Goals from Roony Bardghji, Hákon Haraldsson and Viktor Claesson secured the win in Parken Stadium.
And Neestrup was delighted with the outcome, even if he can see further improvements are possible.
“It wasn't our best performance, but once we went 2-0 up, we safely drove it home," said Neestrup.
“Lyngby matched us well between the lines and also had opportunities to score the first goal and to equalise, so I am not satisfied with the match as a whole, there were too many fluctuations.
“The difference is that we created many dangerous situations and chances, both through our established patterns and when the ball was in transition.
“I think we've picked up an average of two points lately, and it's OK. We’ve done well considering the challenges we've had with a smaller squad than we expected.
“I think we’ve left an impression on the game that we wanted, and many players are developing well. We have played both good matches and less good ones like today, but we have once again become a team that is difficult to beat.”
