Oscar Buur forlænger kontrakten til 2027

Oscar Buur extends contract until 2027

Young goalkeeper Oscar Buur has extended his contract at F.C. Copenhagen until December 2027.

The Frederiksberg-born 18-year-old has come through the FCK youth set-up – first at KB and then the F.C. Copenhagen Talent Department.

"I am really happy and proud," says Buur. "It's a big step for me to get here, and I'm really happy when I think that my further development will continue at a club that means so much to me.

"There have been many people who have pushed me to keep going. Coaches, family and friends have all helped me and reminded me of what I can achieve. I will remember to send them a thank you.

"Now I just have to carry on and work hard. I know there is still a long way to go. But the fact that I can look forward to becoming a permanent part of the first-team squad when the time is right, and therefore continue my development in the existing goalkeeper team, I am really looking forward to."

FCK sporting director Sune Smith-Nielsen says: "Oscar has accelerated his development over the past few years and delivered a really strong Youth League campaign where we saw how good he is. He has proven to be a skilled and smart goalkeeper who is good with his feet.

"Oscar has spent his entire football upbringing at KB and FCK Talent, so he is a boy that we know very well. He is also a goalkeeper that we expect to see in the first team in the long term.

"Now comes the difficult transition from the youth ranks to the first team, which is always extra tough for a goalkeeper. Therefore, it's important that we and Oscar have patience and make use of the many opportunities that are available to Oscar in our environment with Kim Christensen as the ideal teacher in that area."

Buur turned 18 at the end of October and is the third player from the class of 2006 to train regularly with the first-team squad, after Amin Chiakha and Victor Froholdt.
