Raków 0-1 FCK
F.C. Copenhagen secured a 1-0 win in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League playoff against Raków Częstochowa on Tuesday night.
The victory came via an own goal in the ninth minute of the game, as FCK stood firm to keep a clean sheet and take a narrow advantage back to Parken next week. It was a combination of Birger Meling and Mohamed Elyounoussi on the left that led to Bogdan Racovitan clipping the ball into his own net.
There were only a few chances on show in the first half but Raków did have a goal ruled out for offside before the break.
The Poles increased their pressure as the second half unfolded but Jacob Neestrup's players stood resolute in front of Kamil Grabara and even had a few chances to double the lead.
The reverse tie kicks off at 9pm on Wednesday 30 August in the Danish capital, with a place in the Champions League group stage at stake.
