U19s to face Nantes after beating MSK Zilina
F.C. Copenhagen's U19 team will face FC Nantes in the UEFA Youth League quarter-finals following victory over MSK Zilina on Tuesday.
The Young Lions battled out a 1-1 draw in Slovakia before winning the subsequent shoot-out.
More than 10,700 fans watched on as Amin Chiakha silenced the home crowd just six minutes in with the opening goal.
The hosts hit back shortly after and for swathes of the game subsequently withstood heavy pressure from FCK to force a draw.
Tristan Andrew, Queyrell Tchicamboud, Hunor Vajk Németh and Nicolai Blicher all scored their penalties, while FCK goalkeeper Oscar Buur was the hero when he the decisive penalty from Vuk Atanasijevic.
The win ensures FCK safe progress into the quarters, where they will travel to FC Nantes on 12 or 13 March.
