Varela loaned to Dynamo Moscow

F.C. Copenhagen and Dynamo Moscow have agreed a loan deal for Guillermo Varela for the rest of the season.

Varela joined FCK in January 2019 and has played 53 matches in the white jersey.

“Guillermo is a good player and has done well at FCK. But with Peter Ankersen's arrival, it is clear that we have too many right backs in the squad," says William Kvist, sporting director at FCK.

“Therefore, it is logical for all parties that Guillermo will have the opportunity to play somewhere else for the rest of the season, while it also makes good financial sense for us.

“It is largely our technical director Frederik Leth who deserves credit for the fact that this transfer has come about. It has not been an easy task, but he has solved it well from a difficult starting point, considering many markets are closed.

“We wish Guillermo good luck in Russia.”
