Wind: A very messy match
F.C. Copenhagen forward Jonas Wind apologised to the travelling supporters who were at SønderjyskE on Sunday and witnessed first-hand the Dane's skied penalty kick in the dying minutes of the drawn contest.
With the scores locked at 1-1, Wind took responsibility for a spot kick on 85 minutes but could only put the ball into the stand.
"I'm sorry on behalf of the team and for the fans who took the trip down here," said Wind.
"When I took my last step and put my standing foot down, it was as though I didn't get a proper foothold - I realised as soon as I hit the ball that it was not good.
"It was a very mixed and messy match, and even if we didn't play to our best, we still have to win games like these."
The draw means FCK remain in second place, three points behind leaders FC MIdtjylland.
And defender Nicolai Boilesen gave his honest assessment of the match after full time.
"We did not create anything in the first half, but we did more in the second half, and we also got a bit of luck that is always needed," said Boilesen.
"We became more direct in our game after the break, but still made too many mistakes and endured counter-attacks against us. That we also missed a penalty shortly before the end is a shame, of course, but that's what happens in football.
"All in all, we aren't playing well enough over 90 minutes right now."
Next up for FCK is Thursday's home clash against PAOK in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
