Zeca targets derby victory over Brøndby
F.C. Copenhagen captain Carlos Zeca has stressed the squad know how important it if for the fans that they beat Brøndby in Sunday's derby.
The first Copenhagen derby of the championship round of the 3F Superliga gets underway at Brøndby Stadium today (18:00 kick off).
Around 3,000 fans are expect to watch the game inside the stadium.
And Zeca is keen for the Lions to show up and grab three points in his 10th derby since joining the club from Panathinaikos in 2017.
"We are really looking forward to Sunday!" he said.
"We all know that it is not only about the three points in the Superliga, but that the match is also hugely important for our fans and everyone else in and around the club!
"Now that our fans can't be in the stadium to support us, we have to give them a good experience at home in front of the screen by playing good football and trying to dominate the match - and above all by winning, both for ourselves and for the fans!"
Zeca added that he is reasonably happy with FCK's displays in the first four matches since the coronavirus hiatus - but he wants more.
"It was difficult during the coronavirus break where we neither played matches nor trained normally, but now we are happy to be back and play matches," he said.
"But of course we are not satisfied that we can just play again - we want more, and we will win all the matches.
"Especially this one on Sunday! I know how much a win means to the fans and we will do everything to make them proud!"
