Diks penalty earns FCK draw at Betis
F.C. Copenhagen earned a 1-1 draw at Real Betis on Thursday as Kevin Diks' penalty secured the Lions a point in the UEFA Conference League.
The hosts had taken the lead seven minutes in through Abde Ezzalzouli's long-range strike.
Mohamed Elyounoussi and Jordan Larsson came close to finding a leveller, while Nathan Trott did superbly well to deny Pablo Fornals with 20 minutes remaining.
The Lions chased an equaliser as the second half ticked on and it finally came on 77 minutes through Diks. Hector Bellerin upended Andreas Cornelius in the box, and Diks duly slotted home the spot kick.
The draw means FCK have points on the board in the league stage, with Istanbul Basaksehir up next in the Conference League in November.
The Lions now head back to Copenhagen to prepare for Sunday's derby at Brøndby.
