Statement on Kevin Diks yellow card

F.C. Copenhagen have filed an official complaint about the second yellow card and resulting red that Kevin Diks received in Sunday's match against AGF.

The booking was categorised as a C2 offence, one "involving physical contact, committed recklessly or with unnecessarily great force".

F.C. Copenhagen believe that it is correct that there is physical contact, but it is the opponent who is the cause of this, as he entered the challenge with an outstretched leg and studs up, and make contact with Diks.

It is therefore in F.C. Copenhagen's view that the wrong player received a caution for the offence. F.C. Copenhagen have therefore requested that Diks second yellow card be annulled.
