Lions move second with home win
FC Copenhagen moved second in the Alka Superliga table with a 3-0 home victory over Randers.
Benjamin Verbic’s deflected effort opened the scoring midway through the first half, before Youssef Toutouh bundled home to double the lead after the break.
And Andreas Cornelius bagged his second goal in two games with a powerful header from a cross on the right just three minutes after Toutouh’s finish.
Mikael Ishak and Jonas Borring both went close for the visitors but Copenhagen’s defence held firm to record their first win and clean sheet of the domestic season.
Next up for FCK is a home clash with Hobro on Sunday before the Lions get their DBU Cup defence underway with a trip to FC Vestsjælland next Wednesday.
