Alexander Simmelhack joins Silkeborg

F.C. Copenhagen can confirm Alexander Simmelhack has joined Silkeborg IF on a permanent transfer.

Simmelhack, 18, joined F.C. Copenhagen in the summer of 2022. He played for the U19 team and was subsequently also loaned out to Italian side AC Milan.

Acting head of talent at FCK Talent, Mikkel Lund Køhler, says about the agreement: "We have not seen an opportunity for playing time for Alexander in F.C. Copenhagen's first team, and therefore he will move on.

"We have made a good transfer agreement with Silkeborg, which also contains reasonable future options for us.

"Of course, we always prefer our players from the Talent Department to enter the first team, but when we see that this is not possible, we help them progress elsewhere in the best way possible. In this case to a good Superliga club like Silkeborg IF. We wish Alexander good luck in the future."
