Larsson: 'It's about winning trophies'
F.C. Copenhagen forward Jordan Larsson has his eyes set on Thursday's Danish Cup final after scoring a crucial goal in Sunday's 3-1 derby win at Brøndby.
The Swedish playmaker joined FCK in January but is already keen to get his hands on silverware – starting with Thursday's 5pm kick off against AaB in Parken.
"When you play at a big club like FCK, it's about winning titles," says Larsson. "Therefore, it is important that we as a group have confidence going into all our matches.
"Everyone knows that we have been through a bit of a challenging period, but we showed in the derby what character the team has. It was important for us that we played a good match and we can take confidence from that."
Larsson also scored twice in the two-legged Danish Cup semi-final victory over FC Nordsjælland. And he says he's got an eye for goal this spring.
"That is why I'm here. That's my job," says Larsson. "It gives confidence and it's great to contribute to the team. I had a bit of a difficult start because I wasn't in top form when I came here, and then I got an injury. Since then things have progressed, and I feel that there is even more to do and develop before I reach my top level for FCK.
"I am really looking forward to the final. Everyone in the team is looking forward to it. Personally, it is a big motivation because I haven't been in a cup final in my career yet. The opportunity for the first one comes on Thursday and then there is the possibility of one more after that.
"FCK's fans are magical. A pressure is really being created in Parken, both from Sektion 12 and across the other stands."
